Traditional Caucasian patterns and colours are the hallmarks of Chobi kilim. The weaving technique in Kelim is basically the same as in the Swedish Röllakan technique, with the difference that a slit is left between the different pattern colours by weaving the pattern thread back without binding it with the warp thread of the next pattern.
