Baluch carpets are originally knotted by the Baluch nomads. The patterns are so lively that the Baluch carpets make a very charming impression throughout. The rugs have a wool warp or a mixture of wool and goat hair, some newer ones have a cotton warp. It belongs to the group of so-called red carpets whose predominant colour is red, but they are looser knotted than the Afghan carpets.
